Volunteer Duties

Setup Playspace

Sir William is in charge, he has the best mindset to figure out placing.  The camp will move the supplies stored onsite to the dungeon cabin and move the existing furniture out of the way (most of the beds get put into the closet between side rooms).  When touching up edges of maze with black paint, be very careful not to hit wall or floor.  All screws and staples must be removed with teardown so don’t go nuts, it has to be stable, not hurricane-proof.  Photos and a floorplan from previous years are attached further in this packet to help with placement of furniture.

Dungeon Monitor

Your job is mainly to point out where supplies are; paper towels, bleach, cleaner, lube, condoms, garbage cans, bathroom.  Check badges to make sure folks are eagle members; square eagle sticker on badge means resident (access anytime), eagle by itself sticker on badge means non-resident (entry only during yellow highlighted schedule times).  There are blue highlighted times that show when anyone from IMEN can enter the playspace.  Keep an eye out for anyone who looks drunk/drugged and politely ask them to leave, we don’t need that drama.  If folks get rowdy, come get one of the teachers to deal with it (you’re not there to get physical if can be avoided).  Most of the teachers and staff are in the resident cabin off-hours or when not doing the Eagle party.

If there is a minor accident, there will be a red first aid kit near the monitor station with bandaids and such; if it can’t be resolved with a bandaid and timeout, we will call 911.  Poppers/head-cleaner are a grey area.  As long as folks aren’t abusing them you can have plausible deniability, we don’t want folks so out of it they fall or are unable to give consent.  As a courtesy, folks planning intense scenes should give you a heads up, but it is ok to politely ask what the safewords are of the bottom if the scene looks a bit much (ask the bottom, not the top).  There should be a mini fridge stocked with cold water to help people with wind down from intense scenes.

The dungeon is non-smoking, no fire, no blood play or needles.  If folks want to socialize, they can go to the outside porch.  The dungeon is no-photography unless the players are the only ones using it and all agree.  If you have any questions or feel a situation is beyond your experience, grab an instructor; we are housed in the Eagle Resident cabin right next door.  There may be a dayglo yellow safety monitor vest to wear during shift if you feel like it.  To an extent we don’t care if you play a little during your shift so long as you can continue to do the job (blowjob near front door ok, getting fucked at back of maze not so much).

Clean Playspace

Cleaning equipment is gathered along the wall between the 2 entrance doors.  Gloves are available.  Wipe down all play furniture and pole surfaces which may have been touched.  Gather trash to a central bag (watch out for open lube packs, condoms and used chucks) to put on porch for pickup.  Try to spray down the shower with a bleach spritz and rinse.  If you have time and energy, please do a sweep of the floor.

Breakdown Playspace
Equipment should be broken down.  There are large plastic containers used to gather small items and cleaning supplies.  Most of the tools and hardware belong to Sir William.  Raw boards should be moved to the porch for the camp to move into storage (please don’t leave nails or sharp edges sticking out).  Try to reclaim as much of the plastic sheeting as you can for next year.  We need to take out all screws and staples we used during setup in the walls and floors.  Bear Man and the leather shop will gather up the furniture/parts that get shipped back to Lauderdale, make it easy for them to see what is where.

Boots n Bourbon Barback

Setup will be to move Ramblewood Eagle bar off dungeon porch to the yard in front for easier access with extension cord to run the light.  You may need to lay down boards to stabilize the bar.  The camp will provide cups, napkins, ice, soda.  The leathershop provides the booze.  Setup cups, napkins, drinks, mixers.  Try to find 2 large garbage cans.  There should be two coolers of ice provided by camp.  Breakdown will be cleaning any obvious trash, collapsing supplies back into boxes for the leather shop and moving the bar back to porch. Move garbage cans back to where they came from.

Boots n Bourbon Bartender

Fairly self-explanatory.  Drink selection will be limited so don’t get overwhelmed.  The leather shop is paying for this and the only requirement for the bourbon is to have boots.  Seems fair to me.  Do not water down the good liquor with water or mixers.
