Bear Man
The Bear Man began to recognize his kinky proclivities at an early age. In second grade, the fantasies about tying people up began. (What second grader knows the word “bondage?”) As a baby boomer, The Bear Man was strongly influenced by watching TV westerns. Although politically incorrect today, in the era, games of “Cowboys and Indians” were an important recreation, and The Bear Man was always a cowboy because the cowboys always won and had to tie up the Indians. Going forward a decade or so, the post-pubescent Bear Man discovered sex was so much better when it included bondage, spanking, etc. Moving forward another decade or so, adult sexuality included a whole lot more. In the 1980s, his sex life moved from the bedroom to the dungeon, and not that long thereafter, LeatherWerks (and its predecessor Dungeon Bear Leather) was born.
Even before the businesses were fully developed, The Bear Man was active in the Mid-Atlantic leather community and started attending kink classes and eventually started using his experience and contacts to offer adult sex ed classes (all the stuff you did not learn in high school sex ed) at events and along with Lawrence Fox created Fort Lauderdale’s famous Leather University in 1995. More recently, LeatherWerks has offered classes as part of the store’s contribution to the leather community. The Bear Man helped create the Ramblewood Eagle at IMEN and continues to teach kink classes at both IMEN and GNI.
Mr. Nobody
Florida LeatherSir 2019, Lawrence has been involved in the leather community for roughly 30 years. He was the last new member/Secretary of Crucible MC in Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh Motorcycle Club as Treasurer. A move to Fort Lauderdale in 1996 as a collared boy to Bearman, the co-owner of LeatherWerks, and as custom tailor in that company. October of that year also saw the first offering of the Dungeon series of educational events produced by Leather University, with Lawrence acting as Secretary. In 2000 he took over presidency of the organization to continue producing the event for another 5 years, also creating SM High (a smaller educational event specifically for gay men), and Indulgence (a small, men-only play weekend). A return presenter at Southeast Leatherfest and new kink presenter at Gay Naturists International “Gathering”, he was a founding member of the Young Leathermen of South Florida, member of Delta International, Minotaurs of South Florida, Treasurer of NLA Florida, resident Dungeon Monitor for SPICE Ft Lauderdale and Secretary/Webmaster for the Leather Archives and Museum (located in Chicago, serving the world). He has presented workshops for numerous Florida leather bars, clubs, and organizations; of particular pride is his involvement in GoLeather, a pansexual group for newcomers to the leather community in Ft Lauderdale, and presenter for the New Guard chapter of SPICE.
Sir William
Sir William has been a fetish instructor for over 10 years in his home, the Fort Lauderdale area, as well as national leather events. We are pleased to have him back to continue his resume of teaching quality, kink instruction
Max/Sir Se7en
(Max/Sir Se7en) has truly immersed himself in the Kink and BDSM community with multiple attendances to the yearly IMEN/GNI Dungeons, Kinkfest (the world's largest dungeon at 75,000 sq ft), Kink Odyssey, Rope Craft, tantra workshops, East Coast Bound, Fetlife Organizations, and a deep allegiance to the Body Electric School. Although touch and massage is his true calling, his dungeon back home is lined with numerous homemade and professional impact toys, ropes, paddles, insertables, and other sensation play tools.
